Cognitive Intelligence Lab (CII) is the research arm behind Cognitive Systems Academy™ and the Applied Computational Intelligence Institute (ACII).

We study how students understand, explain, and build intelligent systems — not just how they code.

Our work powers the Explainable Intelligence™ Framework, helping learners:

  • Think in systems

  • Reason through logic

  • Debug independently

  • Explain how technology works

This enables a meaningful progression from:
